After several years of searching, with some frustration, for a life partner in my home country of America and further searching in Europe, I came across a CNN news article describing a website where one could hope to meet Indian women of virtue, family, and a good life perspective, Shaadi.com. I registered with great interest and immediately found such a women from my initial set of search criteria. At first, I was suspicious as to whether such an attractive women could in fact be real. However, after a few emails, we met, luckily living within relatively short distance of each other (I in Manchester, England, her in Leeds). It was clear from our first meetings that she indeed had all of the qualities I was looking for for so long. After a short period of time we agreed to be married and in August of 2007, we had our ceremony in Leeds, England, with the reception for our families to be at Ahmedabad, India in December.
